All custom designs have a unique story. While it is easier to design a ring when the recipient is involved, working with the giver of the ring to create a surprise is so very special!
Caleb came to me with the desire to surprise his girlfriend, Hannah. When filling out the custom design inquiry form, Caleb told me that Hannah "loves tie-dye colors" and that "she doesn’t want anything too flashy but I would still like to get her something flashy within reason".
I met Caleb at Guillermo's Coffee to learn more about his tie-dye loving girlfriend. We had such a sweet conversation about who Hannah is at her core and how much Caleb adores her. Caleb and I looked at a few different ring styles before we landed on a really unique cluster design. Since Hannah loves color, I suggested adding a few accent sapphires to give it a splash of color.
I then sourced several center stone options for Caleb. He was undecided between oval and marquise shapes, so I ordered a few of both for him to look at. This meeting was very fun! He brought his mom and future mother-in-law along to involve them in the surprise and to get their opinions. They were a delight to have in my home for the diamond education and design finalization stage!
