The Design Process

STEP #1

STEP #2

Book a Design Consultation

After filling out the form, book your design consultation to discuss the piece. We will explore design styles that resonate with who you are, your lifestyle, budget, and preferences. This consultation will help ensure that we are creatively aligned and a good fit. If we are, a design contract will be presented and fee collected that will be put towards your final invoice.

STEP #3

Stone Sourcing + Design Stage

Once we create a design concept together and are clear on the budget and timeline, the magic will begin. I will start by sourcing stones (or use your stones) and sketch out 3-6 design ideas based on our consultation, which will be sent to you withing 1-2 weeks after the design contract is engaged. Once you choose your perfect stone, an invoice for the full value of the stone will be sent. Then, together, we will revise the design sketches until we have the perfect piece for you. To move the piece into production, a final quote for the mounting will be given and a 50% deposit collected.

STEP #4

Jewelry Production Stage

Once we finalize the design, your piece will either be hand fabricated or cast to bring it to life. You will receive progress photos or CAD renders throughout the process to ensure that your piece is exactly right for you. If any changes are desired, this is your opportunity to tweak the design to ensure it is perfect. Your piece will be ready for delivery within 4-8 weeks.

STEP #5

The Final Piece

This is the most special phase for me: delivering the piece to you! Once the piece is complete, you will receive photos of your new piece and the final invoice. The balance is due upon the completion of your piece. Depending on if you are local or not, I will either hand deliver or ship the piece to you.

FAQs

How much does a custom piece cost?

Each piece is unique and is price accordingly. Custom design work starts at $2,500.

What is the turnaround time?

Please anticipate a 4-12 week process for creating your custom piece. Many factors influence the timeframe which will be discussed during our consultation.

What are the payment terms?

At the end of the first consultation, if we are a good fit to move forward with the design, a $250 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to the final invoice will be collected. Then sketches or CAD renders will be provided and the design finalized. To move the piece into production a 50% deposit will be collected. The remaining balance is due upon completion.

What if I don't like it?

The design consultations, sketches/CAD renders, wax models, and progress photos are all shared with you to ensure that you love your finished piece. In the rare instance that you don't love your piece, I will work with you to make modifications. Additional fees may incur if the modifications alter the design extensively.

Do you offer returns

All custom designs are final sale and are not eligible for return.

Do you offer appraisals?

If I have created and sourced 100% of your piece, I will proved an Insurance Evaluation Report that can be used when insuring your jewelry. If you have provided any of the stones for the piece, I cannot provide an Insurance Evaluation Report or Appraisal.

Do you only work with people in your local area?

Design consultations can take place remotely through Zoom, so I can work with you no matter where you live. Simply specify that you'd like a remote consultation when scheduling your appointment online.
